About the Event
After wowing us with a genre-defying performance that expanded the capabilities of the harp as part of our Leading Ladies virtual concert last year, Bridget Kibbey makes her in-person debut with fellow trailblazing violinist Alexi Kenney. The “Yo-Yo Ma of the harp” (Vogue) and “talent to watch” (The New York Times) are bound by a talent for challenging modern conceptions of classical music and its traditions. The two Avery Fisher Career Grant-winners join forces to explore “Counterpoint in Motion” in a dazzling, hour-long program that compares and contrasts these two diverging string instruments.
