About the Event

Two evenings after our “Healing with Music” event The Beat Goes On: Healing from Cancer through Music with writer Suleika Jaouad and musician Jon Batiste, join other community members to stitch together your thoughts on music’s vital role in your life under the guidance of local artist Diana Weymar. This Interwoven Stories embroidery workshop is hosted by the Arts Council of Princeton.

Weymar is the creator and curator of Interwoven Stories and the Tiny Pricks Project and is a long-time collaborator with Suleika Jaouad. Conceived and facilitated by Diana Weymar in 2016, Interwoven Stories began as a residency at the Arts Council of Princeton and later spanned the globe. More than 400 stitchers contributed hand-embroidered “pages” to the project from Princeton, San Francisco, and Nantucket, to British Columbia and Syria. You can learn more about the project and purchase the anthology of Interwoven Stories published by the Arts Council of Princeton here. With this upcoming embroidery workshop, we will add a “chapter” capturing community stories of Healing with Music.
