Join us at the Princeton Public Library for a free family screening of Pixar’s beloved classic Soul, a celebration of music, creativity, and self-discovery. This special event honors Black History Month and celebrates Princeton University Concerts’ new Pianists in Performance series with a film that highlights the transformative power of music.
ABOUT THE MOVIE
Pixar Animation Studios’ Soul follows Joe Gardner, a pianist and middle-school band teacher who gets the chance to play the jazz gig of his dreams—only to be transported to the Great Before, a fantastical place where souls discover their personalities and passions before coming to Earth. Teaming up with a soul named 22, Joe embarks on a journey to discover what truly makes life meaningful. Featuring the voices of Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey, Pixar’s Soul is directed by Pete Docter and co-directed by Kemp Powers, with music by Jon Batiste and an original score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
